Edgar Chakhoyan is the new president of YSU trade union
At the end of the 6th regular conference of the YSU trade union organization, the inaugural session of the newly elected trade union took place, during which Edgar Chakhoyan was elected the new president of the organization by open ballot for a term of 5 years.
Edgar Chakhoyan graduated from Yerevan State University and has bachelor's and master's degrees in International Relations. After graduation he worked in the YSU trade union organization as an assistant to the president since 2014, and then as a deputy. During his 9 years of work, he participated in training courses organized abroad and in RA, educational programs of specialized schools, continuously improving his professional skills and knowledge.
Referring to the importance of YSU trade union activity, Edgar Chakhoyan mentioned. "The goal of all of us is the same: to develop Yerevan State University, for the benefit of which the trade union will continue to protect the rights of YSU employees, represent their interests, as well as ensure activities in a harmonious and stable environment within the framework of the law."
It should be noted that the trade union has started its activity in YSU since 1946. From 2006 until now, the president of the organization was Armen Avetisyan, who is also the president of the trade union of Armenian universities.
