For the second consecutive year, the YSU Alumni and Career Center has been organizing the collection of graduate data during the diploma awarding ceremonies. As part of the collection process, representatives of various private and public organizations are invited to the university to present students with employment and professional internship opportunities available in their organizations.
Karine Nazaryan, Deputy Director of YSU Alumni and Career Center, introducing the details of the data collection process, mentioned that colleagues receive the schedule of diploma awarding ceremonies for graduates from various YSU faculties in advance. Taking into account the existing demand for specialists in their organization, employers select the relevant faculties and present their proposals.
"The employees of the Human Rights Defender’s Office are presenting the office's proposals to YSU for the first time. An agreement has been reached with several partners to organize the meeting with graduates in a different format," pointed out Karine Nazaryan.
Assistant to the Human Rights Defender Milena Tonoyan, presenting the vacancies in the staff to the YSU Faculty of Law graduates, emphasized that although there is a demand for employees of various fields in the HRD Office, there is a particular need for lawyers.
"Interested students leave their personal information to contact usin the near future. The HRD Office includes departments focused on human rights protection in criminal justice, civil, socio-economic, and cultural rights, as well as providing convention mandates. Legal education is required for available positions in these departments. In this context, collaboration with YSU is highly valued as it allows us to present employment opportunities to graduates," said Milena Tonoyan.
Mariam Mukuchyan, a graduate of the Faculty of Law, expressed interest in job opportunities presented by HRD Office employees and left her contact information. Despite currently being employed at a law office, she is open to new offers. Mariam believes there is significant work yet to be done in the field of human rights and is eager to contribute to its development.
Another graduate of the Faculty of Law, Anahit Mnatsakanyan, also mentioned that although the HRD Office presents attractive offers, she will consider those offers later, as now her focus is on making a contribution to the advocacy field.
During the data collection process, graduates also learn about the opportunities offered by YSU to the alumni community and the ongoing programs.
