YSU student on how winning the YSU Best Student-2024 Competition opens new professional pathways
Vahe Asatryan, a student from the YSU Faculty of Economics and Management, has emerged as a winner of the YSU Best Student-2024 Competition. His interests in the financial and banking sector led him to the YSU Faculty of Economics and Management. His success story is marked by numerous achievements and triumphs, which he enthusiastically shared.
Vahe believes that this title is the beginning of a new path and will advance progress in his scientific and practical work.
"Winning the YSU Best Student-2024 Competition gave me positive feelings and a sense of obligation. Being recognized as the best means I must uphold a high standard for my future professional growth. Although I do not personally know the previous awardees, I am aware of their notable achievements, scientific progress, and social activism. Their success is inspiring, as each one is a role model for me. I am committed to working to the best of my ability and continuously improving myself," he noted.
Vahe pointed out that in the digital world, banks are transforming their traditional activities, impacting both the financial and public spheres. While there is an abundance of data and sources, few individuals handle this data with accuracy and expertise. Working with financial data, in particular, demands caution and a high level of analytical skill.
Every positive result of my work is a significant achievement, as their accumulation becomes a crucial factor in life and a motivating force toward reaching my goals.
Vahe considers being admitted to YSU, receiving education on a tuition-free basis, and being awarded the "John Kirakosyan" scholarship as significant achievements. He has also received many certificates and awards by participating in various programs, competitions, and events.
"All these achievements are of great importance to me as they reflect the path I have gone through. I should also mention my active participation in the scientific seminars organized by the Faculty of Economics and Management. These seminars covered significant topics such as the comparative assessment and analysis of countries' security and issues of business digitalization. They provided additional knowledge that we applied in our own research and analysis, enabling my colleagues and me to draw key conclusions," emphasized V. Asatryan.
"In recent years, along with the university’s teaching staff and fellow students, he has begun conducting scientific research to explore the interrelationships and characteristics of multi-content sectors of the economy."
Currently, Vahe is completing a professional internship at a bank in the Republic of Armenia while simultaneously continuing his research. Reflecting on the role of the university in his development as a specialist, he notes: "Studying at YSU provides the opportunity to expand our theoretical knowledge and enhance our skills in both professional and related fields. It is crucial that we, as students, can readily apply the knowledge we gained at the university."
The future economist aspires to further his studies in data science and integrate this specialization with his current field to achieve additional goals. He believes that success comes from viewing all challenges as opportunities.
Every effort made to address these challenges moves a person one step closer to achieving their desired success.
