YSU - a path to achieve goals
Aram Amirjanyan, a recipient of the YSU Best Student award and graduate of the International Relations Faculty, felt from the moment he entered the university that he wanted to tie his future to YSU. His ultimate goal is to teach at YSU.
Aram decided to choose the profession of international scientist during his school years, driven by a long-standing interest in history, the causes of wars, and global systems that began in childhood.
"I plan to continue my studies at the postgraduate level," he shared in the interview. "For teaching, I will choose topics that explore international relations theories, modern diplomatic art and international relations."
Emphasizing the significant role of international scientists, he pointed out that they should be able to present international situations to the public impartially and guide the public toward achieving their goals while prioritizing national interests.
"I am going to serve as an officer in the RA armed forces. Since my role will be that of an officer, I will have the opportunity to pursue my master's degree studies concurrently with my service," said Aram. He added that while education is crucial, young people should also prioritize the protection of the state alongside their academic pursuits.
"Every person should serve their homeland to the best of their abilities," he believes.
At the university, Aram Amirjanyan not only demonstrated high academic performance but also took an active part in the Student Council, trying to help his fellow students with various issues. He helped organize various student events and engaged in research activities. He co-authored a scientific article titled "U.S.-Turkey Strategic Approaches in the Greater Middle East Project," which was published in the "Region and World" scientific-analytic journal.
Aram is currently planning to study the conceptual approaches of South Caucasian states with the aim of authoring a new scientific article.
