Scholarship for YSU students: YSU, Byblos Bank continue their cooperation
Another 5 students from the YSU Faculty of Economics and Management have been awarded the Byblos Bank Armenia’s nominal scholarship, each valued at one million drams. These students were chosen based on their academic performance, social involvement, university activities, volunteer work, and participation in intellectual and scientific events and research studies.
The scholarship program launched in 2023 within the framework of cooperation between YSU and Byblos Bank Armenia aims to motivate young people and inspire them to record new successes. It fosters academic progress by creating a competitive environment that encourages students to meet and exceed set standards.
YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan emphasized the importance of the partnership, stating, "This program not only provides financial support but also offers students the chance to become familiar with the banking industry and connect with skilled professionals, many of whom are role models for students at the starting point of their career paths. It demonstrates how determination, hard work, and professional development can lead to success. Additionally, this program strengthens YSU's relationship with a good partner, Byblos Bank Armenia and expands the scope of cooperation."
Hayk Stepanyan, Chief Executive Officer of Byblos Bank Armenia, believes that every scholarship can spark a new success story.
"Motivation and encouragement play an important role in a student's life. At Byblos Bank Armenia, we are committed to investing in the future by supporting our smart young people. Scholarships provide more than just financial aid; they enable students to concentrate on their studies, overcome obstacles, and build their own success stories. We are excited to see how these talented individuals will contribute to the growth of our community. We look forward to continued cooperation with YSU and hope it will yield positive results," emphasized Hayk Stepanyan.
In 2023, YSU and Byblos Bank Armenia signed a memorandum of cooperation. Under this agreement, 10 YSU students received Byblos Bank Armenia’s nominal scholarship, amounting to 1 million drams, while an additional 5 students received tuition reimbursement for the 2023-2024 academic year.
