Yerevan State University records another achievement
Students from YSU Faculty of Chemistry have won two silver medals at the 3rd International Chemistry Olympiad held in Turkmenistan.
Approximately 220 students from 23 universities worldwide participated in the 3rd International Chemistry Olympiad, representing countries such as the Russian Federation, the People's Republic of China, Japan, Romania, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Turkey, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan.
The team representing Armenia included Artavazd Arabachyan, a first-year student from the "Chemistry" bachelor’s program at YSU Faculty of Chemistry; Hayk Aghekyan, a third-year student; and Mariam Harutyunyan and Anahit Jilikyan, both fourth-year students.
Despite the Olympiad's complexity, the YSU team hit the record high. Hayk Aghekyan and Artavazd Arabachyan won silver medals, while Mariam Harutyunyan and Anahit Jilikyan scored high enough to receive certificates of participation.
The team was led by Liana Gabrielyan, PhD, Associate Professor at the Chair of Physical and Colloid Chemistry.
