German ASIIN Agency extends international accreditation of 4 YSU educational programs for another 5 years
Yerevan State University consistently strives to provide high-quality education that aligns with international standards, enhancing the competitiveness of its students both in Armenia and on the international stage. This is evidenced by the extension of the international accreditation for the educational programs of the Faculty of Biology and the Institute of Pharmacy at YSU by the German ASIIN International Agency for another 5 years.
The German ASIIN Agency has accredited the "Biochemistry and Biotechnology" bachelor’s program and the "General and Medical Biochemistry" master’s program at the Faculty of Biology, as well as the "Pharmacy" bachelor’s and master’s programs at the Institute of Pharmacy.
This process opens new paths for development and creates broad opportunities, contributing to the continuous improvement of the quality of education and the more efficient use of scientific potential.
Last year, these educational programs at YSU were first accredited, taking into account the relevance and uniqueness of these fields, their high demand in the labor market, and the alignment of human and material-technical resources with international accreditation standards. However, reaching this achievement was not easy. Gaining international accreditation required extensive and multifaceted efforts, significant resources, and long-term work.
International accreditation offers numerous opportunities and advantages. It promotes the internationalization of YSU by fostering the mobility of students and professors. Moreover, international accreditation enhances the ranking of the university’s educational units and programs, making them more attractive to both Armenian and foreign students.
