New academic and cultural partnership formed between YSU, Armenia Wine Company, and Wine History Museum of Armenia
Yerevan State University, Armenia Wine Company, and the Wine History Museum of Armenia have signed a memorandum of cooperation to jointly promote the implementation of educational programs and raise awareness of Armenia's tangible and intangible cultural heritage.

YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, reflecting on the university’s academic successes and achievements, emphasized that YSU encourages the implementation of various scientific projects and the expansion of cooperation with international scholars. He pointed out that the number of scientific orders received by YSU researchers from private companies has been increasing year by year, and they are offering modern and effective solutions to the problems presented by these companies.
The Director of Armenia Wine Company, Vahagn Mkrtchyan, emphasized that although the company is relatively "young," it has already achieved significant success.
"Our company’s uniqueness lies in our attempt to localize international experience in Armenia. Throughout its entire operation, the company has consistently had foreign consultants, which has contributed to its leading position in the sector. I believe that, not only in terms of producing alcoholic beverages but also in its management quality, the company meets international standards," Vahagn Mkrtchyan noted.
He also mentioned that many students are employed by the company, and each year they improve their skills in their work. In this context, the parties discussed the opportunities for YSU students to undergo internships at the company and later potentially secure employment there. Additionally, Hovhannes Hovhannisyan also addressed the need for training specialists for the alcoholic beverages microbiological laboratory, suggesting collaboration in this field as well.
According to the provisions outlined in the memorandum, lectures, seminars, and discussions will be organized for undergraduate and graduate students, scientific research and analyses will be carried out in fields such as history, ethnography, archaeology, and other areas, and cultural events will be held to promote the scientific and public recognition of Armenia’s tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
During the meeting, the parties discussed various ideas and projects that could be implemented within the framework of cooperation to help achieve common goals.
