Republican Stage of Informatics Olympiad held at YSU
The Republican Stage of the Informatics Olympiad took place at Yerevan State University. Held annually, the olympiad aims to foster students’ interest in programming and information technologies, identify talented participants, and strengthen collaboration between educational institutions.

This time, 48 students from various provinces of Armenia participated in the competition. They competed in two age groups: junior (grades 6-9) and senior (grades 10-12).
The olympiad was conducted in an online format, hosted in the computer lab of YSU Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics. The tasks were designed by specialists from YSU. The process was overseen by the chair of the commission, Assistant Professor Armen Andreasyan from the Chair of Programming and Information Technologies at YSU Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics.

Commenting on the organization of the competition, he emphasized: "YSU took on the responsibility of organizing the Informatics Olympiad 25 years ago, at a time when only the university had such large-scale technical facilities. Although today many educational institutions also have the necessary conditions, YSU remains committed to its traditions and continues to host the republican stage of the olympiad."
He highlighted that the competition serves as an important platform for discovering talented youth, many of whom later become high-level specialists in the field.
"In the age of information technologies, such events not only stimulate students' interest in the field but also significantly contribute to the training of high-quality professionals," noted Armen Andreasyan.
The results of the olympiad will be available after the summary of the competition. The results can be accessed on the following website: https://www.olymp.am/
