YSU Olympiad-2025 kicks off with first phase at the university
Within the framework of YSU Olympiad-2025, Yerevan State University has once again brought together numerous talented school students. This significant event aims to stimulate the scientific interests of students, identify the best among them, and encourage them to pursue their further studies at YSU.

The school Olympiad is held in two phases. The first phase has already commenced both at the university and in all regions of Armenia. The second phase, in which students with the best results from the first phase will participate, is scheduled to take place on April 12 at YSU.
Participants compete in general education subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Armenian History, Armenian Language and Literature, Russian Language, English, German, French, and Informatics) as well as additional educational subjects (History of the Armenian Church, Logic, Sociology, Fundamentals of State and Law, Fundamentals of Ecology and Sustainable Development, Economics).

The competition brings together numerous school students from Yerevan and all provinces of Armenia. The Olympiad not only allows participants to assess their knowledge but also helps them orient themselves in choosing a future profession. Winners will receive first, second, and third-degree diplomas, along with tuition fee discounts for their first year of study at YSU’s paid programs—50%, 40%, and 30%, respectively.
Organizational Process of the Olympiad
YSU commission members have traveled to the provinces, delivering the necessary materials for the competition. In total, over 1,500 students have registered for the Olympiad, but the final number of participants will be determined based on the results of the first phase.
Highlights of YSU Olympiad-2025

Kristine Harutyunyan, Director of the Center for Admissions and Affairs with Applicants and organizer of the Olympiad, emphasized that this annual event has firmly established its place in the education sector.
"We organize this Olympiad every year, primarily for 12th-grade students. The competition is held on a countrywide scale to familiarize future applicants with the university and involve them in university life," she noted.
YSU continues to be a key center of higher education in Armenia, and YSU Olympiad 2025 marks another step toward scientific and academic advancement.
