YSU has new international partner. cooperation agreement is signed with Qatar University
Today in Doha YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan and Qatar University President Hassan bin Rashid Al-Derham signed a cooperation agreement between the two universities to establish and develop cooperation in the fields of education, science, technology and culture.
YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan is on a two-day visit to Qatar as part of the RA Prime Minister's delegation, where he meets with representatives of the education and science sectors to discuss issues and programs of mutual interest.
Today, H. Hovhannisyan signed a cooperation agreement between the two universities with his counterpart from Qatar University, Hassan bin Rashid Al-Derham, to implement joint programs in the fields of social, natural and human sciences.
According to the agreement, the universities will implement student and staff exchange programs, organize joint research activities, meetings, seminars and conferences and carry out relevant works for the implementation of double master's degree programs.
In addition, according to the agreement it is planned to establish an Armenian studies center at Qatar University, and giving new momentum to the development of the field of Arabic studies at YSU.
Henceforth, YSU and Qatar University will also exchange educational, scientific and methodical literature and implement various other programs.
