Economics and related professions have been redefined in the 21st century by being able to analyze data, make professional predictions, and make justified decisions, thanks to which individuals, organizations, and government agencies have the opportunity to efficiently allocate the available limited resources and improve the quality of life.

In a rapidly changing world, it is necessary to respond to various sectorial changes just as quickly. It is no secret that in the modern world, agencies, and organizations regularly face economic problems, including financial and economic crises, food shortages, poverty, and inflation. Skilled economists and management specialists are looking for ways to solve them. That is the reason why the demand for qualified economists and managers is constantly growing all over the world, including in Armenia.

Risk and uncertainty are increasing in the business sector, but thanks to intelligent managers, it is possible to not only make accurate decisions, and manage the organization's finances, but also to manage human resources and develop realistic projects and strategies.

Economists are in great demand in the RA labor market, which contributes to the fact that the income of specialists is twice the average salary of RA.

One of the main priorities of economists is to make the maximum contribution to economic development. Finding the right balance between economic interests, and ethical as well as environmental concerns is difficult, as it requires a comprehensive understanding of the interrelationships of economic, social, and environmental systems.

The Faculty of Economics and Management of YSU offers Undergraduate and Master's educational programs that prepare specialists with similar skills, competitive and in line with the requirements of the labor market.

In the existing and distance learning systems of the Bachelor's degree, education is organized by the following narrow specializations: "Economics", "Management", "Finance", and in the Master's degree - "Business Administration" (Management)", "Marketing", "Finance", " Accounting and auditing", "Data science in business", "Innovation management", "International economic relations", "Economic policy and law".

The educational programs of the YSU Faculty of Economics and Management combine the improvement of academic knowledge and practical skills. The teaching staff of the faculty, having rich teaching experience and combining teaching work with practical activities, provides quality, modern, and labor market-compliant education.

Starting from the first semester of the second year of study, students of the faculty have the opportunity to participate in international credit mobility, as well as student exchange programs between YSU and partner universities.

Students and graduates of the YSU Faculty of Economics and Management have the opportunity to work in finance and banking, business management, public administration, accounting and auditing, international economic structures, and other related fields.

The faculty cooperates with the Central Bank of RA, as well as with many commercial banks, ministries, and other organizations, where students undergo mandatory professional practice, getting the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired at the university in practice and acquire new skills.
