Barley cultivation in Armenia started 5-6 thousand years ago. The purity and unity of the grains discovered during the excavations indicate that in the 9th-6th centuries BC. varieties of barley were prepared, from which beer was prepared.

YSU IS 99 YEARS OLD: CONGRATULATORY MESSAGES BY STUDENTS On May 16, 1919, the Council of Ministers of the First Republic of Armenia adopted a historic decision to establish a university in Yerevan.
