YSU LECTURER'S AUTHORIZED MONOGRAPH GETS DIPLOM AT INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION FORUM IN MOSCOW AND AUTHOR'S GROUP IS AWARDED AN EXHIBITION MEDAL
The presentation of the English monograph "Geoecological Evaluational Integrating Index of Natural Waters and other Systems" co-authored by Gevorg Pirumyan, Gevorg Simonyan and Liana Margaryan was held at YSU Library.
The monograph authored by YSU staff was awarded with an exhibition diploma, the author group, represented by Gevorg Simonyan, was awarded with laureate medal of the exhibition.
The study is devoted to the creation of models for comprehensive freshwater quality assessment and forecasting.
New unique models are proposed for a comprehensive assessment of sweet water quality and environmental status.
Gevorg Pirumyan mentioned that the monograph is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of YSU foundation. “The monograph, which is quite comprehensive, deals with the detection and forecasting of freshwater quality. There are various indexes in the world literature and the scientific community, we have discussed almost all existing indexes, presented the advantages and scope of the index we offer, the extension of the index. By the way, the new index was called Armenian by the suggestion of scientists”. said Mr. Pirumyan.
Gevorg Pirumyan mentioned that the old researches concerned the surface waters of the RA - rivers, natural lakes, artificial reservoirs, now they are continuing to carry out new studies. "We have only summarized the researches about surface water, and we are currently conducting groundwater studies to try to propose a new index or apply the already proposed index to groundwater". said Mr. Pirumyan.
"Monographs can be accessed and useful not only by those who are interested and relevant in the field, but by all.". said Mr. Pirumyan.
