YSU TEAM WON ADMISSION TO ICPC PRESTIGIOUS INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMMING OLYMPIAD
The semifinal of the ICPC International Olympiad took place in Tbilisi from November 29 to December 1, where YSU team registered impressive results, reaching the final stage of the competition and becoming the only representative in the South Caucasus in the final.
YSU participates in the most prestigious US Universities Programming Contest in 2000. The biggest success in the competition was in 2017.
In May, when, having overcome the pre-qualifying and semi-finals, the YSU team achieved satisfactory results in the ongoing competition between teams from 133 universities around the world, resolving four of the issues.
In a conversation with us, Vahram Dumanyan, Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics and Director of the Olympiad in Armenia, said that all the teams in YSU have achieved impressive results, but the representatives of one of these teams - students of the faculty Levon Muradyan, Khazhak Galstyan and Hamlet Mikaelyan, have reached the final round of the tournament, solving 7 issues.
By the way, the coach of the team that won the final round is Albert Sahakyan.
He was member of the team that participated in the final round of this competition.
