Current challenges in computer science and applied mathematics discussed at republican conference
The three-day conference titled "Current Challenges in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics – 2025" is currently underway at Yerevan State University. The event is organized through the joint efforts of the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics and YSU-Krisp AI Lab. The conference's primary objective is to bring together researchers working in computer science and applied mathematics, offering a platform to present recent scientific advancements, exchange ideas, and foster collaborative relationships.

Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics, Yuri Hakobyan, emphasized that participants include scholars from Yerevan State University, the Russian-Armenian University, the Institute for Informatics and Automation Problems at the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, and researchers from YerevanNN Research Center.
"As part of the three-day program, approximately 40 reports will be presented, covering nearly all contemporary areas of computer science and applied mathematics. Among the reporters are young researchers, PhD students, and master's students working across various disciplines,” noted the dean, adding that the main topics of discussion include mathematical modeling, differential equations, approximation theory, algorithm theory, cryptography, coding theory, image recognition, artificial intelligence, signal processing, and more.
Yuri Hakobyan also highlighted the intention to make the conference an annual event, with the inclusion of international researchers as well.
A similar conference was previously held in 2022 at the initiative of the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics.
