VAHAGN TUMASYAN - OUR WALKING SYMBOL OF PATRIOTISM
The opening ceremony of the classroom after Vahagn Tumasyan took place today at YSU Faculty of History.
At the beginning of the event, the Dean of the Faculty of History Edik Minasyan greeted the participants.
He congratulated those present on the 29th anniversary of the formation of the Armenian Army, wishing to fulfill the message of the victims and develop the homeland.
Then Mr. Minasyan presented to the guests Vahagn Tumasyan's biography and the way he passed. "Vahagn Tumasyan was one of the best students at the Faculty of History, who during his short life was distinguished by both his military exploits and his academic achievements."
In 2019, Vahagn Tumasyan entered YSU Faculty of History, Master's degree.
He was fluent in Turkish and Azerbaijani and took an active part in organizing the process of learning those languages in Armenia.
According to Edik Minasyan, it is not accidental that the classroom is named after Vahagn Tumasyan, as the hero will inspire the present and future students of this classroom with his immortal patriotic spirit and insatiable love for education.
Vahagn's father Aram Tumasyan made a speech during the event, who first thanked the Faculty of History for the initiative to name the classroom after his son, then told some of the interesting episodes of his son's short life.
