"WE HAVE 1000 MILES TO GO IN THE FIELD OF NATURE PROTECTION, AND THE FIRST STEPS HAVE ALREADY BEEN TAKEN." RA MINISTER OF ENVIRONMENT ROMANOS PETROSYAN
RA Minister of Environment Romanos Petrosyan met today with the representatives and students of YSU Faculty of Geography and Geology.
Arthur Petrosyan, First Deputy Chairman of the Forest Committee, Acting Chairman of the Committee, and Levon Azizyan, Acting Chairman of the Hydrometeorological Monitoring Center, visited the native Faculty with the Minister.
The Dean of the Faculty Marat Grigoryan welcomed the Minister's initiative to meet with the representatives of the field of science, to discuss with them the problems of the field of nature protection and to develop joint programs. "We are glad that the graduates of our faculty do not forget their native university, they are ready to develop cooperation with leading specialists in the field."
Romanos Petrosyan first presented the programs developed and launched during his tenure and the results already registered, touched upon the upcoming projects. The Minister also emphasized that the profession of geologist is key in environmental management, without YSU, which is considered a forge of specialists, it is impossible to carry out deep reforms.
