THE TEAM OF YSU FACULTY OF BIOLOGY PARTICIPATED IN THE "SOCIAL IMPACT AWARD" PROGRAM, WHICH SUPPORTS YOUNG INNOVATORS IN BUILDING SOCIAL ENTERPRISES
YSU team presented "MiCoFe" startup project and was recognized as the winner.
"MiCoFe" is an ecologically biodegradable organic fertilizer, which is based on the technology of reuse of brewed coffee grounds.
Team member Liana Vanyan, speaking about the program, said that in the first stage all the teams participated in professional workshops, had separate meetings and consultations with mentors.
During the program, a one-minute video was made, which was put to a public vote on the website.
The results of the public voting were also taken into account in the selection of the winning team.
Satenik Mirzoyan, the captain of the team of YSU Faculty of Biology, said in a conversation with us. "The project is based on the team's various scientific studies, which will continue to improve the idea."
The proposed project was approved by the commission and became the winner of the first prize, receiving a grant of 1,500 euros.
