EVENT DEDICATED TO ALBERT MKRTCHYAN'S 85TH ANNIVERSARY AT YSU
An event dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the RA people's artist, director, screenwriter, and actor Albert Mkrtchyan took place at YSU Charles Aznavour Culture Center. In the framework of cooperation with the National Film Center of Armenia, the famous director's film "Happy Bus" was shown.
Director of the Culture Center Karine Davtyan told us that the cooperation with the National Cinema Center of Armenia started back in 2010. According to her, Yerevan State University is the place where students, apart from getting professional knowledge, have the opportunity to know the outstanding people of the nation and their work.
"Every person should get to know the great people of his nation: writers, directors, actors, representatives of art and science in general, forming a horizon, taste, and attitude towards the country, people, and own profession", said Karine Davtyan.
K. Davtyan emphasized that the choice of the film is because "The Happy Bus" is Albert Mkrtchyan's last film and it was shown relatively little.
Albert Mkrtchyan's son, film director Mher Mkrtchyan, was also present at the meeting discussion; he answered the attendees' questions; narrated memories and interesting stories.
"I think it is very important to organize events thanks to which young people get to know the works of our prominent people. Thanks to such meetings, they deeply understand their work," said the film director.
Ruzanna Aleksanyan, marketing manager of the National Cinema Center of Armenia, told the audience about Albert Mkrtchyan's creative path, achievements, and awards. R.
