GAME-COMPETITION AT YSU FACULTY OF LAW
At the initiative of the Student Council of the YSU Faculty of Law, the game-competition of the Debate Championship entitled "The transition of RA from semi-presidential to parliamentary form of government is justified" was held in YSU courtroom.
After the continuous successes of the specialized debate club, the new autumn championship has started, after the completion of the preparatory courses that are part of it; the participants who passed that stage were included in about six different groups. They will debate each week on urgent topics to reach the finale. The first match was between "Force Majeure" and "Spotlight".
The "judges" of the competition were Davit Tovmasyan, a master's program student of the Faculty of Law of YSU, a listener of the Academy of Advocates, the vice-president of the YSU SC, and Khachik Abajyan, a post-graduate student of the Political Science Chair.
Referring to debating skills, Davit Tovmasyan mentioned, "When debating, always draw your boundaries and stay on the playing field", in that case, the victory will be unequivocal, and the substantive debate will be ensured."
The teams, studying the positive and negative changes that took place in the country, highlighting the features of the management forms and relying on the international experience, showed a brilliant game, as a result of which the "Spotlight" team was declared the winner of this round with a slight difference in points.
It should be noted that during the championship organized within the framework of the specialized Debate Club, the most urgent topics will be constantly discussed, especially the legislative projects of key importance, current laws, existing problems, which arouses great interest among students.
