THE SERIES OF PROFESSIONAL DISCUSSIONS HELD FOR YSU STUDENTS WAS SUMMARIZED
The students of the Chair of Political Science of the Faculty of International Relations of YSU listened to a lecture entitled "Features of the formation of civil society in the years of independence", which was followed by a comprehensive discussion on the ways of creation and development of civil society and non-governmental organizations in Armenia.
Within the framework of interaction with YSU Center for Continuity of Education and Friedrich Naumann Foundation "For Freedom", a series of lectures and discussions for students of different faculties of YSU started in October. The purpose of those meetings was to present to YSU students the 2020-2021 two-volume collection "Independence and Liberal Reforms of the Republic of Armenia" published by Friedrich Naumann's "For Freedom" Foundation with 28 articles included in it. Separate discussions were held on each of those articles, with the main emphasis on their content and importance, clearly addressing the professional characteristics.
The author of the article entitled "Features of Civil Society Formation in the Years of Independence" is Lusine Kharatyan, Director of the YSU Center for Continuity of Education. During the meeting, the latter presented her research and answered the multi-content questions of the students.
Aram Manukyan, who read the Declaration of Independence of Armenia on August 23, 1990, was present at the meeting. Presenting the collection "Independence of the Republic of Armenia and Liberal Reforms", he noted that its translated version is available in 20 libraries around the world and in Armenian embassies of 60 countries.
It should be noted that at the end of the meeting A. Manukyan handed over copies of the two-volume collection "Independence of the Republic of Armenia and Liberal Reforms" to Ashot Aleksanyan, head of the Political Science Chair of the Faculty of International Relations, which will enable the students of the faculty to familiarize themselves with the topics discussed during the discussions.
