THE LONG-AWAITED SOLO CONCERT OF "YSU BAND" TOOK PLACE

YSU students summed up the week by listening to the songs of the band that have already become dear and familiar: old and new, Armenian and foreign favorite songs were played.

Along with educational processes, students' extracurricular, culturally active life is also important in Yerevan State University.

By the decision of the YSU Academic Council, the YSU Culture Center was established In 2006, and the priority tasks of it were the coordination of cultural life of the university and cultural events held among university students, as well as the incorporation of events organized by the structures operating in YSU and ensuring their quality standards. Due to all this, multidisciplinary cultural ensembles were formed through professional leaders, and creative students and professors were involved in their work.

The cultural center includes the "Universitian" theater-studio, the girls' dance ensemble, the choir, the group of young creators, including the Literary Studio, the "NIKE" squad, the film club and the "YSU Band" music group, through which various cultural events are carried out.

From 2022, at the suggestion of the director of the center, Karine Davtyan, the center was named after the great chansonnier Charles Aznavour.

It should be noted that the interest in "YSU Band" is increasing day by day: due to the new students who have joined the band at the beginning of this year, the instruments they play have also increased. The group is constantly updating its playlist.
