JOB OFFER FOR YSU STUDENTS WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE WAR
The YSU Graduate and Career Center cooperates with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, which has developed a professional training and employment provision program to assist students who participated in the war in finding employment.
The program, which is implemented in the framework of cooperation with the YSU Graduates and Career Center, will have three components: professional training, professional work experience acquisition, and one-time compensation to the employer.
YSU students who are participants in the war, are registered as unemployed in the unified social service department at their place of residence and are studying by distance learning, have the opportunity to apply for the program.
Ruzan Arshakyan, the head of the Employment Program Coordination Department of the Unified Social Service Employment Department, presented the details of the program at a meeting with employers and beneficiaries held at Yerevan State University.
According to her, for the organization of professional training of the beneficiary, a tripartite agreement on the organization of five-month professional training is signed between the regional center, the employer and the beneficiary.
"During the entire period, the employer pays the beneficiary: the tuition fee is reimbursed every month in the amount of a maximum of 50,000 drams for each month, a stipend is established in the amount of 50 percent of the minimum monthly salary.
After graduation, a one-year employment contract is signed with the employer. Every month up to 50 thousand drams is compensated to the employer for the income tax paid for the beneficiary," said R. Arshakyan.
