From an early age, the choice of university and profession was clear.

I was sure that by entering YSU, I would become one of the sought-after specialists in the field. Loving and being interested in the East, particularly Arabic culture and language, I chose Arabic Studies. While studying at the faculty, I got the opportunity to study abroad.

I did not face any major difficulties in Jordan, and YSU had a great role in that matter.

Before coming to Jordan, I imagined life here to be more difficult in terms of language, culture, and household issues, but I did not face any great difficulties. I can confidently say that many factors contributed to this (my local Armenian friends, the warm hospitality of the residents, etc.), among which the role of the YSU education and faculty is also of key importance. The high level of knowledge of the Arabic language, which I acquired while studying at YSU, immediately attracts the attention of many locals here and is highly admired.

Communicating with native speakers is key to language development. YSU provides that opportunity.

I have already completed one academic semester. The four months have been quite meaningful and informative. I think, in addition to gaining new knowledge, exchange programs are one of the most effective options in terms of discovering the culture of other countries and making new connections and acquaintances. Such programs also contribute to the development of Arabic studies in Armenia.

YSU offers a wide range of opportunities; one just needs to use them.

The knowledge given by YSU has and will have a fundamental importance in my current and future success. In YSU many defined goals come to life. It provides an opportunity for sustainable professional development and becoming a specialist in demand in the labor market. One just needs to find out and always welcome the wide opportunities provided by YSU...

I celebrated the New Year with my Armenian friends in Armenian traditions...

It was quite interesting to celebrate the New Year in a country with cultural and religious differences, although there are also similarities between the two countries. By preparing traditional Armenian dishes for the New Year, we managed to attract the attention of the locals and arouse interest in Armenian culture. This is one of the best opportunities to spread and make Armenian culture known to foreigners.

I wish the university students a New Year full of new professional knowledge and achievements. One should always walk fearlessly towards their dreams, and strive to learn the new and useful...
