YEREVAN STATE AND CYPRUS UNIVERSITIES TO HOLD JOINT SCIENTIFIC-EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
YSU Rector Aram Simonyan hosted Constandinos Christofides, Rector of Cyprus University.
The purpose of the Partnership Meeting is to expand cooperation between YSU and the University of Cyprus through new academic programs and exchange of experiences.
The meeting was also attended by YSU Vice-rector on Educational Affairs Alexander Grigoryan and Head of International Cooperation Alexander Markarov.
“Thank you for your warm reception. Cooperation between our universities has a history of years, so I hope I will receive you in the near future as well as rectors of different universities on the occasion of opening a new library building with interesting engineering solutions at the University of Cyprus,” - said Constandinos Christofides.
Mr. Christofides also added that in the near future the EU plans to establish a new geopolitical institute in Cyprus with the participation of young Armenian specialists.
The guest presented the educational programs and projects within which universities can expand the cooperation, involving not only professors, but also the students.
Aram Simonyan stressed that YSU is ready to expand cooperation with Cyprus University: “YSU has a wide range of partner relations with a number of leading foreign universities and scientific centers. We attach importance to the active work of the university in the international arena, in particular the involvement of young people in the international educational and scientific programs.”
Then, the rectors of partner universities clarified areas in which young professionals can be involved in European educational programs and share experiences.
