THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE PROGRAM GAINED SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE GUIDE
On May 22, YSU Faculty of Geography and Geology hosted an event summarizing “Guide’s Skills” program.
The project organized by YSU Faculty of Geography and Geology Sociology on March 10 was aimed at providing participants with access to the required skills in this field, as well as helping them to organize and carry out tours.
The program was implemented as a result of the cooperation of the Faculty SSS, the Jinishian Memorial Foundation and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
On May 22, during the closing ceremony, participants who successfully passed the test phase received certificates for the participation in the training.
During the event, head of YSU Faculty of Geography and Geology Chair of Service Seyran Suvaryan greeted the participants once again pointing to the fact that the Chair of the Service is always standing next to all those who want to work in the field of tourism, gain experience, knowledge and skills: “We are always standing next to them who do their best to make Armenia competitive and develop in the tourism market.”
During the summarizing ceremony, five participants were selected, who will be provided with the internship opportunities in summer at “Camping Club” and “One Way” companies.
“The program was intended to give the participants the opportunity to acquire skills that will help them to succeed in their field. We have achieved our goal,” - said Ani Hakobyan, SSS Chairman and Program Director.
