Few people know about the career of YSU Security Chief Lyova Arustamyan. His career starts from the battlefield and reaches the order and internal discipline of the University. In a conversation with us, he told about the difficult career he has gone through and the favorite work at the university.
Mr. Arustamyan is from Tatev village of Syunik Province. His mother is from Shinuhayr, his father from - Tatev. By the end of 1988, he became a volunteer squad member in Colatak: “My uncle was one of the commanders of that detachment, and I gradually became a member of that squad, all of us united the idea of homeland,” - says Arustamyan.
And his work at the Alfa-Deta Security Service started in the 90s: “Alfa-Dita paid great attention to my professional career, and it was not accidental to appear in that service,” - he adds.
He suffered a bodily injury in 1993 and left for Ukraine because he did not receive the necessary treatment in Armenia: “My injuries were serious, but I received the necessary treatment in Donetsk after I started humanitarian activities.”
Lyova Arustamyan says that his career continues at the Guardian Star Military-Patriotic Organization.
Lyova Arustamyan has been living in Belgium for five years and has set up an Armenian boxing school where classes were free: “I was persuading Armenians to keep their children engaged in boxing. Everyone should be able to defend himself, because the danger outside the homeland is considerable.”
After the foundation of the boxing school, Mr. Arustamyan unites Armenians in the School of Armenian Language: “The next step was to teach our compatriots Armenian language and literature,” - he says.
The head of the security service also tells about the “12 + 1” table, which unites people who have had military career.
Mr. Arustamyan has been working at YSU since 2014: “I am a military man, I love the rule and order, because keeping order and rule makes it easier for people to live.”
He notes that he is doing his job with love.
The security chief notes that he likes students very much, helps them a lot: “Today’s youth also need an advice,” - says Mr. Arustamyan.
He advises to love life, to understand what is the purpose of life, and what to live for. Mr. Arustamyan notes that he often follows students’ training at YSU Sports Complex.
Mr. Arustamyan has two children. The daughter is married and his son is 16 years old.
