Today, YSU Faculty of International Relations hosted the pupils of the senior classes of “Yerevak” educational complex.
Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Gegham Petrosyan welcomed the pupils with the opening remarks, expressing their satisfaction that the higher education and particularly the International Relations Faculty are in the area of interest of the pupils.
Presenting the history of the faculty, the Dean highlighted the significant increase in the number of students and the growing interest in the profession: “After the declaration of the independence of the Republic of Armenia, it was necessary to prepare diplomatic personnel,” - said Gegham Petrosyan.
Speaking about the peculiarities of the faculty, he emphasized the importance of foreign languages: “Knowledge of at least two foreign languages is required. Today we have a separate Chair of Diplomatic Service and Communication, which, in essence, stresses the importance of teaching foreign languages.”
