ONE-WEEK SCHOOL AND PILGRIMAGE TO ARTSAKH: "SUMMER SCHOOL -2018" PROGRAM STARTS
Today the opening ceremony of the "Summer School - 2018" program of YSU Vardanank military-patriotic education club took place.
It is already more than a decade that YSU Vardanank Club initiates and implements a one-week summer school. This year it is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia.
During a conversation with us, the club president Satenik Abrahamyan stated that during the summer school meetings, lectures, seminars and other events will be organized for the people of VardananK. Then a seven-day pilgrimage to Artsakh will be held.
"Participants of the summer school will be in Artsakh on July 3-9, where they will summarize their knowledge, organizing various events. In Artsakh we will meet the families of the freedom fighters, who have passed away, we will visit their tombs, trying to keep their memory alive," - said Satenik Abrahamyan.
The club president mentioned that the topics of the courses organized in the framework of the summer school were chosen in advance, according to a survey conducted among the people of Vardanank: "We have highlighted the most interesting themes and invited the relevant specialists who have agreed with love, for which I want to thank them."
During the opening ceremony of the Summer School, Ara Harutyunyan delivered a lecture on "Issues of Artsakh in Modern Times", who is currently a PhD student in St. Petersburg. By the way, Ara Harutyunyan, who also was a member of YSU Vardanank club, is the son of the fallen freedom fighter Arthur Harutyunyan.
