LIEUTENANT-COLONEL IVAN POGHOSYAN SPEAKS ABOUT PSYCHOLOGICAL WARFARE
A meeting with the Lieutenant-Colonel of the reserve troops of the National Security Service Ivan Poghosyan was held in the Paleans hall of YSU.
YSU SC club of military readiness after Leonid Azgaldyan starts a series of lectures entitled “Lessons of war” the goal of which is to change the concepts of war gist.
Today’s theme was “Lessons of war: psychological wars” and it had the aim to specify how psychological factors can become a guarantee for victory.
“It often seems to us that the victory gained in a war is the result of strong power while actually, the victory is ensured by the strategies worked out and considered in the unseen side of war”, said Ivan Poghosyan.
The speaker outlined the strong power of psychological warfare which uses information and propaganda as a tool and can be considered a real weapon having direct impact on human minds.
He also referred to the Artsakh war, told about heroism of Leonid Azgaldyan, Monte Melkonyan, spoke about the psychological aspects of soldiers in the war situation.
“Clear human relationships, trust and confidence that the soldier masters the weapon and understands the situation-that is what works in the battlefield”, said Ivan Poghosyan.
At the end of the meeting the organizers presented the speaker with a book about the hearo of Artsakh war Leonid Azgaldyan.
