FACULTY OF ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT SUMMARIZES LAST ACADEMIC YEAR

Mr. Sargsyan started the meeting of the scientific council of the faculty with a greeting speech. He generally summarized the results of the previous year and spoke about establishment of a new specialization –Management and Finances and about 10 new master’s programs, particularly, Data Science in Business which had achieved good results, presented its educational and scientific activity.

“If there is no development and we go on organizing the education process with the same technologies and the same contents we won’t have new achievements. Today I am going to speak about the recent developments, changes and new challenges”.

Mr Sargsyan informed that the Faculty of Economics and Management initiates establishment of a chair to be called Economics of Innovations. “We have discussed this issue both with the faculty and at the meetings of YSU Academic Council and now we are waiting for the confirmation of the Board of Trustees”.

The YSU Vice-Rector for Scientific Policy and International Cooperation Gegham Gevorgyan also referred to the activity of the faculty and the problems raised by the teaching staff and students.
The meeting was competed with a voting as a result of which the report made by Dean H. Sargsyan was got positive assessment.
