“WHO ARE MILITARY PARTNERS OF AZERBAIJAN?”: LECTURE AT THE FACULTY OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

This time the faculty hosted the YSU alumnus, expert Taron Hovhannisyan whose lecture-seminar related to the foreign military-technical cooperation of Azerbaijan.

The expert told that the ordinary Treaty on weapons signed in Europe in 1990 (post-soviet counties joined it in 1992) was to regulate the maximal permitted number of weapons. He spoke about the UNO Register on Conventional Arms which is a base created for arms control where countries present information on the weapons they buy. Mr. Hovhannisyan also mentioned that the countries usually don’t give correct information on their arms. He also told about the main military partners of Azerbaijan.
