AMBASSADOR EXTRAORDINARY AND PLENIPOTENTIARY OF CHINA AWARDS YSU STUDENTS
On November 28, the first official ceremony of awarding organized by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Armenia was held in “Armenian-Chinese Friendship Foundation” school.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Armenia H.E. Tian Erlong handed honorary diplomas and money prizes to the students of different universities for their success and activity in Chinese Studies. Three of the awardees were from YSU.
The awardees for YSU are the 4th year students of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy of the Faculty of International Relations Ofelya Zakaryan, Arsen Hovhannisyan and the 3rd year student Mane Gasparyan.
For the contribution to teaching the Chinese language the Embassy awarded two local lecturers Hripsime Margaryan and Asya Samvelyan.
During the event Ambassador Tian Erlong spoke about the Armenian-Chinese friendly relationship and the perspectives of its expansion. He also mentioned that the commerce circulation between Armenia and China increased in the recent period and the tourism between the countries has become more active.
The Ambassador also added with delight that the interest in the Chinese language and culture in Armenia is increasing from year to year. At the end of the event the head of the Center of Chinese Language and Culture of the Faculty of International Relations Arthur Israelyan handed the money prizes to YSU students.
