SCINETIFIC PROGRAM: YOUNG BIOLOGISTS TO GET NEW KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) with the support of “PMI Science” held a faculty research awards at universities and research institutions to support research teams.
The research program “Proton AE-Phase and membraned hydrogeneas as a target of different medication” presented by the scientific-research group of YSU Faculty of Biology got an award in the sphere of Biomedicine.
The head of the scientific-research group which got the grant for the Faculty of Biology is the director of the Microbial Biotechnology and Biofuel Innovation Centre Karen Trchounyan.
The scientific group consists of 4 members including students and postgraduates. According to Mr. Trchounyan, this grant will encourage young people to carry on getting engaged in science and contribute to the professional improvement of young scholars. “During the scientific –research experiments to be conducted within the framework of this program young scholars get new skills and familiarize themselves with the possibilities of new equipment”.
He also added that within the scope of the mentioned above scientific program it is planned to study the influence of antibiotics and other anti-bacterial activity medication on proton AE-Phase hydrogeneas and other membrane proteins of Escherichia coli. “Revealing such influence will make it possible to suggest new mechanisms against bacteria through regulation of proton moving force”, completed the director of the Microbial Biotechnology and Biofuel Innovation Centre.
