GREECE EMBASSY IN THE RA TO CARRY ON SUPPORTING YSU CENTRE FOR HELLENIC STUDIES
Today YSU Rector Aram Simonyan hosted the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Greece to the RA H.E. Mrs. Nafsika Nancy Eva Vraila.
The issues related to the activity of the scientific and educational Centre for Hellenic Studies and its library were discussed during the meeting in Rector’s office
YSU Vice-rectors Alexabder Grigoryan and Gegham Gevorgyan, the head of the International Cooperation Department Alexander Margarov and the head of YSU Centre for Hellenic Studies Levon Hakobyan were present at the meeting.
Ambassador Mrs. Nafsika Nancy Eva Vraila expressed her pleasure with the fact that Greek studies are carried on at the university. “As we mentioned during our previous meetings, we are ready to show overall support and assist in the organization of the events aimed at promoting the Greek language and culture. We are glad that the Centre for Hellenic Studies functions at YSU”.
YSU Rector in his turn assured that the university is also ready to take measures for the organization of that process. “We intend to purchase new equipment and necessary items and assist in all issues”.
The parties also discussed the events which can be held in the future and made an arrangement to organize Greek trainings for the students of different faculties.
The head of the Centre for Hellenic Studies Levon Hakobyan informed that the cooperation with the Embassy if very effective as they regularly show support to the centre.
