ARMENIA IS ONE OF THE THREE COUNTRIES MARKED ON THE OLDEST MAP OF THE WORLD
The most essential fact we stress while speaking about Armenia on international platforms is that this country was the first to adopt Christianity as the state religion.
However, more extraordinary fact is that one of the three countries marked on the Babylonian clay slab-map of the 6th century BC is Armenia, which means that we have had our place on the world map for more than 2600 years.
For our ancestors the world was a plot of land surrounded with water. But luckily they didn’t restrict their knowledge and carried on their attempts to “measure” the world. Owing to these measures we have maps, and the 10 oldest maps of the world are represented here.
