SCIENTIFIC THEME: A NEW APPROACH OF “W-NI” ALLOY TO BE WORKED OUT BY YSU POSTGRADUATE STUDENT
The scientific theme “Producing of “W-Ni” false alloys in the regime of self-propagating combustion regime” presented by the 3rd year part-time student of the Chair of Inorganic and Analytic Chemistry of YSU Marietta Zakaryan was guaranteed for financing by the RA MES Science Committee within the frames of “ Postgraduate students’ research support program of 2018”.
In her interview to us Marietta Zakaryan informed that the goal of this research lasted for 12 months is to work out a new approach to synthesis of ‘W-Ni” false alloys. Due to this approach the synthesis of “W-Ni” structural powders is to be carried out in one-stage combustion regime for which instead of metal powders used in traditional alloys, the alloy of metal oxides or/and salts can be used. Marietta Zakaryan presented the details of the research and outlined its significance in energy saving technologies.
To carry out complete research the YSU postgraduate student will work with the help of equipment of the Chair of Inorganic and Analytic Chemistry of YSU Faculty of Chemistry and in the laboratory of Kinetics of the RA NAA Institute of Chemical Physics.
For compacting the produced powders Marietta will collaborate with the colleagues from Tallinn University of Technology.
