CANDLEMAS HAS BEEN MARKED AT YSU
Every year, on February 14, 40 days after Christmas, the Armenian Apostolic Church celebrates Tiar’ndaraj feast, or Candlemas. This feast is traditionally marked by YSU students.

Tiar’ndaraj is a fixed feast of the Armenian Apostolic Church which is dedicated to 40-day-old baby Christ’s presentation to the Temple of Jerusalem. Students of faculties of Theology, Armenian Philology, history, Economics and Management, Philosophy and Psychology traditionally celebrate this feast.
