ITALIAN SCHOLARSHIP FOR STUDENTS OF CONFLICT AND POST-CONFLICT COUNTRIES

The head of YSU Department of International Cooperation Alexander Margarov, the Deputy Ambassador of the RA to Italy Annaroza Colangelo, the head of International and Training Department of “Rondine Cittadella della Pace” Mauro D’Andrea, the representative of the same association Valentina Broki. Mr. Mauro D’Andrea told about the history of foundation of the association, presented its activity and goals. “Rondine Cittadella della Pace” is translated as “Castle of Peace”. It was founded in 1997.

It is a scholarship program within the scope of which students form conflict countries can get education in a number of universities of Italy. The students have the opportunity to work with skillful specialists, present their programs and implement them. ‘While selecting the students we attach particular importance to the stage of interview during which the students are to present their programs”, stressed Mauro D’Andrea.

“We also take into account that the fellow will live in a multinational environment of Italy”. YSU Vice-Rector Gegham Gevorgyan and the head of International Cooperation Department Alexander Margarov expressed willingness for cooperation and offered to make the information on the fellowship available for YSU students by organizing an awareness meeting.
