SCHOLARSHIPS FOR YSU STUDENTS FROM “ARMENIAN EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION”
An information meeting related to scholarship programs was held today in Paleans Hall of YSU.
The event was organized by the Student Council of YSU.
The coordinator of the “Armenian Educational Foundation” Tatevik Muradyan greeting those present presented in brief the activity of the foundation. She informed that besides providing scholarships the AEF is engaged in building schools, and due to the efforts of the organization more than 200 schools have already been renovated and overhauled in Armenia, Artsakh and Javakhk.
Speaking about the scholarship she mentioned that it is usually given in the amount equivalent to tuition fee if the latter is no more than AMD 200 thousand.
The students of the faculties of Chemistry, Physics, Economics (except for Management”, Mathematics and Mechanics, (the coefficient 12 and higher), Biology, Geography and Geology (except for Service), Informatics and Applied Mathematics, Radiophysics, as well as Iranian Studies, Turkish Studies, Art Studies (Chair of History and Theory of Armenian Art) can apply for the scholarship this year.
Tatevik Muradyan also informs that the lists of the faculties included in the program are updated every year.
She presented the procedure of applying for the scholarship, the documents necessary for it and students’ obligations in case of getting the scholarship. All the information is available on the website.
“The students of the paid system of the RA state higher educational institutions who are in their second year in 2019 ( the first year students at the moment of applying) and senior students (including Master program students and postgraduates), can participate in the competition”, said Tatevik Muradyan and added that in case of getting the scholarship the students are obliged to have high progress, take part in the meetings of the students got the scholarship, and to carry out voluntary activities in some institution for at least 120 hours annually.
