ARKADI TER-TADEVOSYAN’S MEETING WITH STUDENTS
The meeting with the 1st grade “Martial Cross” order knight, Artsakh Hero, the RA AF Major-General Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan was held today in the Hall of YSU Academic Council within the frames of the series of lectures entitled “Lessons of war”.
The meeting was organized by the YSU SC Combat Readiness Club after Leonid Azgaldyan.
At the beginning of the meeting the president of the mentioned above club Liparit Ghazaryan stressed that such meetings organized by the club aim at sharing war experiences and knowledge to subsequent generations.
“During our previous meeting we spoke about the psychological aspects which can become a guarantee of victory during the war”, said Liparit Ghazaryan, and today we are going to turn to Artsakh war and host one of the legendary commanders of that war-Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan”.
Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan noted that though the theme is about the lessons taught by war, it is not easy for him to speak about war as war is inhumane phenomenon.
“People sacrifice their lives at war. All volunteers go to war realizing it, and believe me , it’s very difficult to put up with the idea that the person with whom you are taking right now can die tomorrow”, explained Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan.
The general pointed out that man must be ready for everything during the war and referred to the factor of fear.
“Many of you may think that that people at the battlefield are fearless. Actually, everyone feels fear, no one can avoid it”.
He noted that sometimes people think that the pace of war is determined by states, whereas in fact, individuals with their self-sacrifice determine it.
The General also told about martial assignments which were successfully carried out due to the ability to unite at the crucial moments.
“One of our national features is that living in peace we find it difficult to get along well, however when our existence is endangered we get united and win”, mentioned Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan noting that the war helped us to get to know the Armenian Diaspora much better.
Speaking about Artsakh fundamental problem the Major-General said that each citizen living in our homeland must know that besides a profession he has another call-to defend homeland.
By the way, since April 1, the YSU SC Combat Readiness Club is going to organize the lessons of the Azerbaijani language.
