CHILDREN’S BOOK AND MINIATURE ART SHOULD BE HIGHLIGHTED: ROUND TABLE AT YSU FACULTY OF JOURNALISM
The meeting with the representatives of “Centre of Armenian Miniature Art” foundation was held today at the Faculty of Journalism of YSU.
The meeting was organized by the SSS of the Faculty of Journalism.
The theme of the round-table discussion was “Problems of children’s books publication and the participation of students of the Faculty of journalism in that issue”. During the meeting the Dean of the Faculty of Journalism Naghash Martirosyan noted that he appreciates the cooperation which is to be started at the faculty but go out of its borders.
Naghash Martirosyan also stated that together with the director of “Centre of Armenian Miniature Art” foundation Armen Ohanyan they worked out a cooperation memorandum which provides a wider circle of cooperation between the centre and the faculty.
The director of the “Centre of Armenian Miniature Art” foundation Armen Ohanyan presented the history and the employees of the centre.
The alumnus of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of YSU, the head of “Children’s book” program Elina Morzoyan presented 2 national programs of the foundation: the national program “Children’s literature” which is implemented by the method of illustration and the national program “Armenian miniature art” which creates pictures on paper, papyrus and silk.
The goal of these two programs is to use miniature art in these works.
