YSU TAKES PART IN “EDUCATION AND CAREER EXPO-2019”
The three-day exposition “Education and Career EXPO-2019” in which YSU was represented in a separate pavilion was held in the “Yerevan EXPO” exposition complex.
The goal of the largest in the region educational exposition held from 17 to 19 of April is to provide schoolchildren and students with information on modern education, to promote establishment of practical ties between educational centres and enterprises as well as to inform about the professions most demanded at the job market.
During the opening ceremony the RA Minister of Education and Science Arayik Harutyunyan stated that such expositions are important for presentation of existing possibilities and outlining directions for cooperation.
“The Government attaches particular importance to financial education and entrepreneurship. Stating the achievements of this year and outlining the plans for the upcoming year we will pay more attention to those directions and encourage our educational establishments to get achievements in the mentioned directions”, said Arayik Harutyunyan.
The RA Minister of ES visited both the pavilion of YSU and other educational institutions. In the YSU pavilion the Minister was presented in details the educational innovations, further programs and their effectiveness.
The YSU Vice-Rector for Students Alumni and Public Relations Affairs Ruben Markosyan informed us that this year YSU comes up with a more representative and informative pavilion. “Taking into account the circumstance that this year is a jubilee year of the university we are trying the present the activity of YSU in various direction: Armenian Studies, Nature Sciences, Exact Science and so on”.
The Science-research Institute of Biology of the Faculty of Biology presented the permanent mobile laboratory worked out by its employees which is provided for schools.
Due to the laboratory it becomes possible to conduct experiments in those schools which have no appropriate labs. The mobile lab can be used effectively in rural and frontier schools. The RA Minister of ES, familiarizing himself with the new lab, greeted that idea and advised to present it and participate in corresponding competitions.
The 4th year student of YSU Faculty of Radiophysics Sargis Minasyan presented the website created by him which makes it possible for students to take certain part in the process of university management and in the discussions of the problems. The website also has the function of motoring via which it is possible to monitor the frequency of raised issue, which student is more active and so on.
Sargis Minasyan informed that he created the website within the frames of his thesis. Arayik Harutyunyan offered him to expand the website making it available not only for the students of YSU but also for the students of other higher education establishments.
