FORUM AND EXHIBITION RELATED TO SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT HELD IN YSU

Social entrepreneurship is a form of entrepreneurship the business model of which is based on the solution of social problems and creation of social values, the profits form such business mainly serves implementation of social reforms, solution of social problems.

This event organized due to joint efforts of “The Association of Social Enterprises of Armenia”, “EcoLab” sustainable development and active citizenship foundation and Yerevan State University is a platform which gives the opportunity to entrepreneurs to discuss the most important problems related to the ecosystem of social entrepreneurship and their possible solutions.

The vice-Rector on Students, Alumni and Public Relations of YSU Ruben Markosyan wished the participants an effective discussion.

The international aid/cooperation officer of the EU Delegation in Armenia Stanislav Toshkov greeted those present saying that is nice to see all those businesses during the exposition. According to him, the EU Delegation is interested in this field and takes activities for social and community assistance.

The main topics of the discussion developed after the opening were the ecosystem of Social Entrepreneurship and the mechanisms assisting in development of the sphere, the issues related to legal regulations of SE, problems of education and possibilities of development of SE.

Social entrepreneurs form different provinces of Armenia, members of the National Assembly, officials and representatives of the organizations investing into the sphere participated in the forum.
