“ATMOSPHERE IN THE LIBRARY SHOULD MAKE STUDENTS LOSE THEMSELVES IN BOOKS”: VICTOR PAMBUKCHIAN
The director of Sargis and Marie Izmirlyans library of YSU Yeznik Mirzoyan handed a thanksgiving diploma to the Professor of Arizona University Victor Pambukchian for granting books to YSU library.
YSU Vice-Rectors Menua Soghomonyan and Ruben Markosyan were present at the event.
Victor Pambukchian regularly grants significant volumes of literature in English to YSU library and other libraries in Armenia. The books include both scientific and feature literature.
Since September 2018 Victor Pampukchian has been delivering lectures for some students of YSU on special sections of Geometry (on Saturdays) and with two students they are preparing a scientific article to publish it is a prestigious scientific journal.
The Vice-Rector on Academic Affairs Menua Soghomonyan noted that each book granted by Mr. Pambukchian is a contribution to students’ future so each good action done by him must be highlighted and presented to public.
Mr. Pambukchian shared his thoughts about the library and reading.
Vice-Rector Ruben Markosyan noted that only educational and most frequently ordered books are presented in the reading halls as the reading halls for other books are not big enough.
