ONE CAN BE PROUD OF KNOWING AN ORIENTAL LANGUAGE: OPEN LESSON AT FACULTY OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
Within the frames of the 100th anniversary of YSU foundation an open lesson was held at the Faculty of International Affairs. During the lesson the 3rd year students of the faculty got the opportunity to show their knowledge of Arabic.
Deputy Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Arthur Israelyan greeting the students stressed that the last lesson is traditionally held in the format of an open lesson during which students choose an international organization and present its history and activity in Arabic.
“The goal of this action is to show the knowledge the students got during the three years of studies”, said Arthur Israelyan and added that it is important that the freshmen be present at the open lesson as this way they can see what work is ahead of them.
Then the students were greeted by the head of the Department of Diplomatic Service and Communication Nubar Chalmyan.
“Due to this event I can see the “nucleus” with which I will gladly work in future, and I would like you not to develop your skills in Arabic as one can be proud of knowing Oriental languages”, said Nubar Chalmyan.
The students presented the structure, the history of foundation and activity of the European Union and referred to its diplomatic relationship with Armenia.
At the end of the event the students thanked Arthur Israelyan and performed a song in Arabic.
