NEW PERSPECTIVES OF COOPERATION: ARTHUR ISRAELYAN VISITED SEOUL
The Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Relations, the coordinator of Korean Studies at YSU Arthur Israelyan visites Seoul on June 16-21 at the behest of “Korea Foundation” and participated in the KF Russian Next-Generation Leaders Program”.
Mr. Israelyan informed us that “Korea Foundation” carries out various programs to establish and promote international efforts aimed at development of the exchange programs of those young leaders who will play an important role in the future.
During the visit Mr. Israelyan met the President of “Korea Foundation” Sihyung Lee and conveyed him the letter of the acting Rector of YSU Gegham Gevorgyan which contained the issues related to the cooperation established between the two structures and the vision of making it more effective in the future.
Arthur Israelyan visited the Academy of Korean Studies of Seoul where discussed the perspectives of implementation of joint research programs with his Korean colleagues. “I’d like to state with delight that the idea of conducting joint research programs with 100-year-old YSU arose interest of our Korean colleagues particularly in the frames of Korea-Iran and Korea-Turkey and Arabic world themes”.
The Deputy Dean also visited the National University of Seoul which is among the top ten best Asian universities.
“The university has the Institute for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies the administration of which expressed its support in the issues of publishing the articles on Armenian studies, Armenian History, Armenian Question and I think it is a great opportunity for our specialists and students”, said Arthur Israelyan in his interview to us.
Within the frames of his trip Mr. Israelyan also visited Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, familiarized himself to the methods and peculiarities of teaching.
