ELINA ASRIYAN APPOINTED VICE-RECTOR ON HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES
The Associate Professor at the Chair of General Psychology of the Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology of YSU Elina Asriyan has been appointed Vice-Rector on Humanities and Social Sciences of “Yerevan State University” foundation.
During the expanded meeting of YSU Rectorate, the acting Rector Gegham Gevorgyan informed about that. He also informed that an agreement was made regarding appointment of the Vice-Rector on Natural and Exact Sciences to confirm the candidacy of the current director of the RA NAS Institute of Mathematics Rafael Barkhudaryan on that position in a month.
As regards the appointment of the Vice-Rector on International Cooperation and Public Relations Gegham Gevorgyan stated that it will be made prior to the beginning of the new academic year, and Ararat Malkhasyan will remain on the position of the Vice-Rector of General Affairs.
Elina Asriyan graduated from YSU Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology. In 2004-2008 passed the post-graduation course at the RA SAM. In 2008 defended the thesis entitled “ Myth as a socio-psychological factor of image of a political leader” and got PhD degree in Psychology.
In 2002-2004 E. Asriayan worked at Yerevan State Centre of Psychology as a psychologist, in 2004-2005 was the Advisor to the Rector of the RA State Academy of Management. In 2005-2007 was a lecturer and a laboratory assistant at the Chair of Psychology of the RA SAM. In 2007-2009 worked a s lecturer at the Chair of Theory and History of Psychology.
Since 2008 up to the present Elina Asriayn has been the senior researcher at the YSU Laboratory of Experimental Psychology, since 2009 up to the present has been Associate Professor at the Institute of Media and Advertising of Russian-Armenian University. In 2009-2012 she was an assistant to the Chair of General Psychology of YSU, and since 2012 up to now has been the Associate Professor of the Chair of Genera Psychology.
The circle of interests of Elina Asriyan involves psychology of image, advertising and PR, social psychology, psychology of mass communication and psychology of emotional sphere.
E. Asriyan has participated in a number of professional trainings and grant programs. In 2003 she was recognized best student of the faculty and was awarded with YSU silver medal. In 2017 she was recognized best lecturer of RAU. She is a member of “Ego young psychologists” NGO.
