“4PS FOR YOUTH” EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM TO START IN POTSDAM

The aim of the program is to unite various European organizations to discuss tendencies of pubic relations development, to study modern tools of communication and their practical application.

The coordinator of the program, the vice president of the Armenian PR Association Arman Grigoryan informed us that the program has 1.5-year history and the first stage started in Italy where the coordinators of the program met and decided on the procedure of holding it.

“All partner organization will be participating in the program to be held in the format of a training. The goal of the program is to provide experience exchange between the participants, to understand the application of formal and non-formal mechanisms in the sphere of communication and their localization, due to which the participants can become more skilled in their field”, said Arman Grigoryan.

The main part of the program involves the training to be held in Potsdam, Germany and then the participants will return to their countries and try to apply their skills locally.

The president of the Armenian PR Association, the head of “PR and Communication Technologies” Master course of YSU Faculty of Journalism Astghik Avetisyan noted that particular attention was paid to the name of the program: “Public”, “Popular”, “Progressive” and “Productive” so the program will be implemented taking into account these 4 components. During the program the participants will have the opportunity to study the stages of targeting, making research, public speech. She informed that they worked out the main program to be carried out in Germany during the preparatory activities in Italy where she was representing YSU.

She also informed that the eminent specialist of the sphere of public relations, honorary member of the PR Association Vazrik Bazil is going to assist in the implementation of this program.

YSU will be represented at “4Ps4YOUth” program by Astghik Avetisyan, the lecturer of “PR and Communication Technologies” Master program Arevik Hambardzumyan and students Sona Vardanyan and Ani Poghosyan.

The program is implemented on the initiative of the Armenian PR Association and the “PR and Communication Technologies” Master program of the Faculty of Journalism of YSU.
